Welcoming them to the Park were BSG Property’s Sales and Marketing team and the team from Permata Green, a Landscape Architecture firm in Penang. The purpose of visit was to impart an in-depth knowledge on park designs and architectural disciplines in respect to township development and planning.

Light refreshments were served followed by a brief by Permata Green’s Landscape Architect Mr Teng Pe Yang, the man behind the park’s design and landscaping. Mr Teng also gives presentation regarding the facilities and functional of the park. It is 4 acres of land which consist of a full size basketball court, playground, jogging track and athletic track. The design of Raffel Park capitalises the elevated nature of the site to create a landscape that captures the unique hilly characteristics of the Bukit Gambir region. The park is divided into 3 zones which has their own function. Zon1 is the “Active Recreation” zone where the playground for the children, multi-purpose field and vehicle car park is located. Zone 2 is the “Sport Zone” where there is 50 meter of sprinting track, full size basketball court and a resting area. Zone 3 is the “Passive Recreation” where most of the trees are located.

A fruitful exchange of ideas between the Landscape Department and BSG Property followed suit, discussing and addressing many of the challenges and issues of park maintenance and security. Before ending the visit, BSG’s Property Senior Project Manager Mr Boon Huck Wai, Project Manager Mr Chen Chee Haw and Business Development Manager Mr Chong Hock Aun lead the entourage for a quick tour around the park.
